It speaks to how strong this episode is, that even years later I still vividly remember it. An absolute classic!

TBH Water might be my favorite Card design in CCS.

Kiro describes it as a very 'aggressive' card and the bestial look here just sells it, with the teeth, headband the eyes, and fins.

it feels like something out of a fisherman's folk tale.

Good 2nd episode that really gets the ball rolling! also, hot damn! Kojima storyboard!

Tomoyo has an entire wardrobe ready to go, and it's in Sakura's size too lmao

Goddamn Tomoyo REALLY gets around doesn't she lol.

Also, nice mechanical detail on the camcorder.

Having an entire post-episode sequence dedicated to fashion is indeed very Clamp

i never noticed back then, but the coloring for this whole library section is just really nice.

Almost feels like Sakura's eyes have a glow to them.
