Dot 2.0 is 200% smugger than her previous model, and is absolutely adorable!
Amai did an amazing job with this!
This is a straight-up 11/10 episode.
The premise is intriguing, Kanbe's boards flow beautifully and look fantastic, and Koga's supervision is downright delightful!
Up there with Episode 3 as one of the strongest early outings in CCS!
Cardcaptor Sakura Ep 5
Storyboard / Episode Director (絵コンテ・演出):Mamoru Kanbe (神戸守)
Animation Director (作画監督):Makoto Koga (古賀誠)
Kanbe's inspired direction & strong layouts combined with Koga's loose & fun supervision make for one of the best episodes so far!
The cartoony goodness in this episode is on point!
Cardcaptor Sakura Ep3
Storyboard / Episode Director (絵コンテ・演出):Sunao Katabuchi (片渕須直)
Animation Director (作画監督):Katsunori Kimizuka (君塚勝教)
It speaks to how strong this episode is, that even years later I still vividly remember it. An absolute classic!
TBH Water might be my favorite Card design in CCS.
Kiro describes it as a very 'aggressive' card and the bestial look here just sells it, with the teeth, headband the eyes, and fins.
it feels like something out of a fisherman's folk tale.
Cardcaptor Sakura Ep 2
Storyboard (絵コンテ):Masayuki Kojima (小島正幸)
Episode Director (演出):Yorimichi Nakano (中野頼道)
Animation Director (作画監督):Toshiharu Sato (郷敏治)
Good 2nd episode that really gets the ball rolling! also, hot damn! Kojima storyboard!
Tomoyo has an entire wardrobe ready to go, and it's in Sakura's size too lmao
Goddamn Tomoyo REALLY gets around doesn't she lol.
Also, nice mechanical detail on the camcorder.
