@NorCalMythos My thought goes to characters who's origins remain unchanged, but can springboard new characters.
Hulk
Ghost Rider
Spider-Man
Wolverine
Hey, wait...
Every so often, I toe back into the anime pool, but nothing really seems to grab me. Recently I've been eyeing The Spine of Night over on @Shudder but I haven't dug in quite yet. Granted I get way more Heavy Metal vibes than anime, so I don't know if it counts. 3/3
Came back to anime in the 2000s with Hellsing, and later Cowboy Bebop, and Full Metal Alchemist.
Another 90s nod, Street Fighter II the animated movie for a great soundtrack and making it seem possible to play the Street Fighter RPG. Found this movie through a friend.2/3
Grew up in 1980s NYC, had a Japanese station on basic cable. My introduction to anime was Galaxy Express 999 & Nassica. Really though, it's dollar theaters in the 90s w/Akira, Fist of the North Star, & Robot Carnival. Never got into any of the shows from the original tweet. 1/3 https://t.co/4UXTMQfypL
@OregonRolledA20 As a game designer and publisher, I feel biased here.
