This is Skate Cat by @dale_coop, co-developed with his young son. They requested this review, and I told them, specifically the kid, "if I do this, it has to be an Indie Gamer Chick review. No holding back. Could be tough."
They said, in no so many words, "bring it." So I shall.
@noobde Well, today keeps getting more and more awesome! Thank you!
Now, let's talk hiding my mascot in the next Mortal Kombat ;) Or not. Sweetie might be too bloodthirsty for that franchise :P
(HUGE THANKS oh my god, thank you! Huge fan!)
@MassiveQ This is the Journey arcade game, based on the band, obviously.
Those are digitized heads, and the inventor of the camera that took those pictures was none other than Ralph Baer, inventor of video games.
It was INTENDED for players to take their pics for high scores.
@Paul_Sebert Just wait until you see what I'm posting tomorrow.
My friend @elias0roa is doing River City Girls 2 for me. Make sure to follow him! He subscribes to my review philosophies. I'm just totally swamped now or I'd do it myself.
There will also be a review at https://t.co/PXeNcCvpag, which again, they share my review philosophies.
Dang, I knew Sweetie had her heart set on it. She's taking it well.
@Hazzieandnord There is a swamp realm but I don't know if they wear armor!
They DO have the coolest castle on show, because it.. uh.. moves around. Nobody knows where it's at. Actually, I think they don't even have knights at all so armor would be a no-go.
There are lots of games that had things that jumped before Donkey Kong, including side-view games, games where jumping was done via a button, etc. This is such an absurdly silly thing. If they did discuss it, lawyers weren't involved. Jumping was established in games already.
New Arcade Mondays debuts tomorrow, and I'm still filling up my backlog with modern indie games that could totally blend in, look and play-style, in an 80s arcade.
This should help assure a new review every week, and unlike Short Subject Saturdays, this should be easy to find.
