Instead of devoting our time and attention to crap like the Disney live action remakes and the Harry Potter remake, why not pour energy into supporting independent animation projects like Lackadaisy and Talon?
Just saying.
Starting to work on concept art and designs for my remake of 65.
For the dromaeosaur, I went with the “Dakotaraptor= adult Acheroraptor” notion. As for the pterosaur, I have two concepts, one a dsungaripterid, the other a thalassodromine.
Dunkleosteus through time.
Gotta say, it took a little while to get used to the new look. But honestly, I don’t mind it. Really, it just makes it even weirder, and by extension, more interesting.

IV: The Burning Rift
+1 Year
As the eruptions continue, nothing living along the east coast of North America and the north coast of Africa is left alive. Near the edge of the fissures, in what is now Morocco, what was once a lakeside community is now a living hell. (1/2)
For the record, these are the only two purple tyrannosaurs in pop culture I will ever accept.
IV: The Burning Rift
+ 1 Year
The eruptions continue. As the continental crust is torn asunder, rivers of lava pour out from the fissures, destroying everything in their wake.
At the edge of growing divide, in what's now Morocco, nothing is left alive. (1/3)
It’d be so cool to see someone create a species of sapient tyrannosaurs skin to the Avisapiens from CM Koseman’s Dinosauroid project. I’d love to see something like that, which would explore their culture, beliefs, art, and such. The creative potential is staggering.
XVIII: Fall of A Dynasty
+100K Years
As the oceans turn anoxic, deadly pink/purple hydrogen-sulfide producing bacteria begin to thrive. Over thousands of years, the H2S spreads, poisoning the seas and killing off many groups of animals, including the trilobites. (1/2)
Alright, the mega thread for “The Dying Time” will be posted tomorrow night! It’s gonna be a lot, so try to bear with me. Stay tuned!
Good night everybody! And Happy Holidays!
@ARGAtheropodfan This looks awesome! With those spines along its back, the rex in your piece reminds me a bit of the take on Skull Island Meat-Eater from Joe DeVito's Kong books.
