I guess without a beard the idea doesn't get through. Must be centuries of western colonization ingrained in my mind. The "bearded father god" feels just like it, but anything else must be "aliens".

Today, March 22th is my beloved #Donaji's byrthday!
A day like today 540 years ago (1479), on a 12 Flower day, this indomitable girl was born.
These flowers are called cacaloxochitl ("crow flowers"), they're my favorites for obvious reasons.

@Gonzzink Multicolor skeletons would be really cool. I've seen white, red, black, yellow, green and even brown. Usually they also keep flesh in hands, feet and ears, so you could make those all brown.
Alternatively, you could play with the chocolate skeletons idea from día de muertos.
