The only people that would bring about a change if defeated are the gorosei and Imu. Unless Akainu LITERALLY QUITS the marines, the best he'll get is get punched by luffy and then be left to maybe Sabo and Marco or something. Feels like a waste of Luffys time as he is right now

OP ch. 993 ending gave me ch. 512 vibes. It ended with Zoro getting yeeted, just as 993 ended with Okiku. The 9 scabbards parallel the 9 SH's so I feel next chapter ALL scabbards get destroyed with Kinemon on the ground by the end

Ofcourse Oda isnt the only one that does this. Horikoshi from MHA is also really good at utilising each panel and has probably taken inspiration from western comics which are full of WHAMS and BAMS and ZOOMS. MHA is quite a smooth read because of it imo
