"Lacking Tension" arguments always sound a bit weird to me. It might be because people compare Marineford to Onigashima, when it should be compared to Enies Lobby (way too many parallels). Looking back there's also 0 "tension" in EL as well, but no one complained there?

In retrospect, Luffy and Kid's rivalry and unlikely alliance in Wano could've been to mirror Kaido & Big Moms rivalry & unlikely alliance. If Luffy's Taking down Kaido with most of the credit, Kid could be the one taking down BM and taking most of that credit 🤔

There's just something different about having a fantastic protagonist go all out in a shonen battle vs a fantastic antagonist. Oda built Katakuri's character during the fight so it makes sense why we'd enjoy it more NOW since we understand him more 🤔

I still dont understand why Oda decided to make it snow and then tell us its snowing in onigashima. He has said before snow is a pain to draw so whyd he go and do it for a big arc for seemingly no reason? Is it really insignificant? What if it's a hint to Aokiji's presence? 🤔
