The lap pillow is very much a turning point & the 1st time Subaru actually admits to himself that he's in love. Not that the anime failed at this, but his feelings' progression is even more apparent in the LN.

Now it's about developing that idealizing love into something mature.

@butterybucket Regulus’s hair was always white though? Also Arc 5 came way before Regulus ever appeared in the LN. I also don’t remember the WN ever describing his outfit in Arc 5 other than the wedding one. (art from owari)

@Shaulataan @_SufferingSloth The new one's *base design* has more polish in certain areas bar the ears & hair, but it also lacks flair/personality which reflects in the show itself.

One of these has far more personality than the other.

@_SufferingSloth Kinda crazy how the new base design has more details in certain places yet still looks less aesthetically pleasing than the original.
