Vision of Escaflowne has been a solid 8 so far. I'm almost halfway through and the narrative is well-mapped, the little bits of politics/morals aren't forced, and the character work is decent to good.

Loving Dilandau in particular, he's really a lot more than he looks.

I love how Gabi & Falco's values completely contrast each other's, and Isayama takes advantage of this to perfectly establish their characters & organically tell us what they're both all about in just a few minutes of screentime.

Finished 3-Gatsu no Lion Season 1. Absolutely stunning with a lovable cast and some of the most uplifting messages in the medium. I don't think there's a single recurring character I don't adore. That Studio Shaft touch in the directing was the cherry on top.
