I've been using references for the backgrounds after following a video tutorial on how to make simple and quick environments.

It has helped a lot so far!

The shading for this one was fun, which I wasn't anticipating when I started it.

I went for a more aggressive shading, more areas of darkness, more glimmers, less spotlights.
