@AshleyVRobinson I like that she’s a librarian. My high school had this poster up in our school library that said, “Librarians are Heroes Every Day!” It was drawn by @GeneHa for the @ALALibrary.
@aaapodcast Thanks for the answer! I’ll be interested in the results.
If we’re talking iconic and my favs, then I’ll just add Yuki Mori from the Space Battleship Yamato franchise and Rei from Eva. I’d add two more, but I don’t think they’re at Fujiko’s level of popularity.
@aaapodcast Midnight from My Hero Academia/Misato from Eva/Ryoko from Tenchi Muyo/Ristuko from Eva.
@Petsuchan My favorite anime, Sadboy Pilotgeddon.
Also, Steven Universe has referenced Eva a number of times.
@g0ro4 I wanted to see Message because it was shown as a poster on Noriko’s wall in Gunbuster. I’m also planning to see War in Space as well, which also has a poster featured in Gunbuster.
@bunnycartoon Thanks! I’m happy someone is releasing these older out of print series. I’d love it if @gomanga pick up dead titles like Kamui or Patlabor. In the case of Zetman, I’d just like if someone would release it.
Planet of the Vampires (1965) - Despite it’s paper thin characters and low budget, this Mario Bava film still delivers somewhat effective tension with it’s colorful, but dark and stylized cinematography. #JikoMovies #2022FilmWatch
The art/action was my favorite thing about the manga. So far, the best I’ve seen from Ishinomori! Lots amazing two page spreads! These are some of my favorites.
@YouSeeGundam Never noticed this character before in either the movie trilogy or the Origin manga. I’d like to see more Job John and his Spike Spiegel hairdo.
