Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato (1978): An out of continuity sequel that was originally going to be the finale to the Yamato story. Despite only seeing the 2199 reboot, I was still able to enjoy this long (151 mins!) epic space opera. #JikoMovies #2021FilmWatch

@Petsuchan I’ve only seen a couple of episodes and the compilation film. It’s a surprisingly violent show, at times. I like that the team don’t always succeed and that they straight up kill the bad guys.

Even before I watched the show, I always thought those costumes were badass!

@Rucean I agree. That why I’ve been trying to watch the sequel to the original show/film, Farewell to Space Battleship Yamato.

Now I truly lament not picking up that Patlabor 2: Limited Collector’s Edition when I saw it only $10.00.😔 Oh well, at least I have the Collector’s Edition for the first film.
