Yesterday I read Deadly Class 12-16.

@Remender & @WesCraigComics are masters, forgot how good this was.

12-16 is a little 'calm before the storm' but has huge stakes building as it goes.

Clever spreads & splashes, smart incorporation of sound effects and inspired drug trip.

Read X-Men; Supernovas

It's a good arc with an interesting squad that Carey assembles, though they don't get enough time together on the page.

Carey's Rogue is spectacular. Bachalo's art is absolutely incredible.

I really like how it deals with the aftermath of decimation, and think the team line up is very cool. Everyone brings something to the book.

LOVE Layla Miller. This will go down as one of my favourite X-moments of all time.

Today's isolation read was Final Crisis: Legion Of Three Worlds.

It's fairly continuity heavy (though nothing to do with FC) but it's pretty good, very Johns.

And man, that George Perez art. That guy was was something else 😍

70. Who Framed Roger Rabbit

Superb piece of film noir and parody from director Robert Zemeckis.

Hoskins & Lloyd are great in their roles, playing it mostly straight amongst a host of animated characters which heightens the humour.

Flawless marriage of live action & animation

Read my only 'new' comic this week: Superman/Savage Dragon: Chicago.

It's a fun read mainly for the art as the plot is a bit light.

Artistically, this is Larsen in his prime doing that bombastic 90s esque superhero action style with a bit of Kirby flair.

Young absolutely nails the different locations too, and Beaulie's colours are utterly breathtaking given every part of the land it's own totally unique feel whilst also making it still feel like one world.
