Final note: Bill Sienkiewicz did some brilliant covers for this book. His mandate was clearly to go over the top and have some fun. Absolutely love these 3 in particularly and their wildly unrealistic use of firearms.

Thoroughly enjoyed the introduction of Fuckface (yes, really) in issue 3.

Ennis works in a really fun reference to Arseface in Preacher, and Robertson goes all out in trying to top that grotesque fucked up design.

It features Ennis's usual brand of boundary pushing dark humour too, from Fury's twisted fantasies about afflicted acquintances to some of our favourite 4 letter swear words.

You'd never see this kind of shit at Marvel nowadays.

I fucking hate this website sometimes and comic 'fans'.

Read the fucking books and support the actual LGBTQ+ characters in comics https://t.co/1AbqcyRKFf

Wanna know how I got these stars?

Enjoying Star Wars Bounty Hunters.

Sacks is brings a good story about the smaller players in the movies along with my boy Valance from the original Marvel series.

Paolo Villanelli's art is outstanding. Nails the SW aesthetic but also brings pure comic book energy to the action

Oh and finally: Orion is a dick and it's fun to see the DC mainstays of Superman and Batman call him out for his shit and not compromise their morals even in the face of a galactic threat.

The nature of the threat of the Anti-Life equation leads to some REALLY interesting pairings.

Batman & Forager were a fun duo I wish we saw more of (I like the black & red costume) and Darkseid/Demon is just a crazy mishmash of Kirby creations.

This issue is the first time we see Norman Osborn.

He's an arsehole from the get go: abusive to Harry, attacks Spidey & a scheming villain.

But this is a Ditko plot. Ditko who wanted the Green Goblin to be a random character, the reason he quit the title.

Before Watchmen: Dollar Bill.

Bought this for Rude's art, which is unsurprisingly stunning.

It doesn't add much to the main property, but Wein writes a fun little old timey book length saga about a guy struggling for work who pretends to be a superhero & becomes the real deal.
