Word is circulating that the great Juan Gimenez has passed, due to #COVID19 complications. He was the co-creator of THE METABARONS with @alejodorowsky. What a tremendous loss. True art visionary.

Today's #DailyArtInspiration: Paintings by Paul Lehr. I've seen the one on the left in person, and it's astonishing. I can only imagine what the one on the right looks like in real life. (And yes, these are both traditional paint, not digital.)

Today's #DailyArtInspiration: Illustrations by Moebius. Did a signing w/ him in my early days. Finished my stack & then stood behind him as he signed for an hour. He did a drawing in each book as if he was tracing images beamed from a projector mounted in his forehead. Legend.

.@RovinaCaiArt has been creating some gorgeous book cover and picture book art. She was recently nominated for a Spectrum Award for her IVYWOOD MANOR cover art published last year. 5/ #HugoAwards

.@francisvallejo fully illustrated @neilhimself's ANANSI BOYS and I think it's one of the finest books produced by @foliosociety last year. 4/ #HugoAwards

.@GregRuth has been doing some *stellar* SFF and horror film art for posters and packaging. Unlike a lot of film art you'll see, all of these are officially licensed and all were published in 2019. 2/ #HugoAwards

Just found out 'La Musica' & 'Evernight' have been selected for @InfectedByArt / Vol. 7! CONGRATS, IBA7 selections. THANK YOU, jurors, and to @IreneGallo for the opportunity to work on @wildcardsseries. Out of 2100 entries, 'Evernight' was 1 of only 30 to be unanimously selected.
