The End of Z is important to Toriyama because Uub is a representation of Buddha who ultimately was Wu Kong’s master. Buddhists believe nothing is born evil but kid buu absorbed a concentration of the evil of mankind through out his existence which was cleansed through kindness.

When Goku took pride as a Saiyan on namek he took pride as a Saiyan that was DIFFERENT than the rest. Meeting Broly made him see that the Saiyans weren’t all bad they were just used and corrupted and seeing Bardock save him Solidifies this idea boosting Goku’s Saiyan Pride again.
Snakes have been one of the most dominant factors in the evolution of primates over any species we have needed to compete with or protect ourselves from in the past. They are responsible for a multitude of evolutionary adaptations needed to survive the fact we co-exist together.
Bardock is stated in the Broly film to be the only one left who maintained his pride as a Saiyan. Vegeta specifically threatened Sadala because he felt the Saiyan’s of U7 had abandoned their pride by not standing up against Frieza.
