I love Goku’s Dragon Fist. To me it’s highlighting that Goku is a symbol of karmic justice much like the dragon balls themselves but in Goku’s case he himself is a trial that villains go through when they use them.
The trick to mastering using combat in conjunction with the dragon balls is again pure intent caused by the need to survive. This is why brave namekian “Warriors” were allowed to use the dragon balls in times of great suffering. Goku and Bardock match this criteria. https://t.co/wyozrsSm5T
Elec and Gas remind me allot of Frieza. Frieza was more refined and intelligent about how he used the info he had at his disposal and Elec like Frieza had a lust for the Dragon Balls. Gas has his ego and his lust for revenge. The new Frieza destroying them both feels symbolic.
@VesDegree @DBSChronicles The message is about selfish intent and the negative effect it can have on your life. It’s also a great reminder of why the show is called DB. The 2 wishes served to show the 2 outcomes of the dragon balls. Selfish Intent=Doom,Selfless Intent=Reward.
Have you ever wondered why so many of Goku’s enemies are “Kings” or “Emperors”? It’s because Goku is facing traits that mirror his literary predecessors past mistakes. Son Wukong had an endless lust for power and strived to rule everything including heaven itself.
Street Fighter and Dragon Ball both play on the same concepts and I love both interpretations. They handle it very well.
“True Ultra Instinct” which was heavily inspired by the anime is directly connected to a Saiyan’s survival instincts, which is activated when their Saiyan blood starts pumping as a response to their life being endangered. Thus why Goku’s body activated UI in the anime not him.
