My PC gave Lord Neverember a wedgie in his own throne room for making him cry. He wanted to become a dragon, but was killed by shadows (damn you, Strength Drain!). We dipped his body in gold, & now folks rub his snout for good luck. 🪙

I like the way everything feels here. The mechanics reflect the heroes & conflicts we see in the setting pretty well. I'm glad they opted to abstract training, while still providing special techniques if you're, say, an earthbender (these will supposedly be in the full game).

The SUCCESSOR hails from a powerful lineage. They can behave in shocking ways, make over their friends, & break a foe's stuff. They can grow by learning meaningful info about their lineage.

Moment of ⚖️ = how you used your lineage's resources to save the day w/o it defining you

The ICON is expected to exemplify a tradition (3 responsibilities & 3 prohibitions). They can have a large animal companion, know about a locale, & assume a fake identity. They can grow by living up to tradition.

Moment of ⚖️ = how you made your role your own & forged a new path

The HAMMER has an adversary embodying a concept they oppose. They can use their anger as fuel, ascertain vulnerabilities, bust through obstacles, & overwhelm foes. They can grow by pursuing their adversary.

Moment of ⚖️ = how you put yourself in harm's way to protect something
