doodling. that cgi puppet? i don't buy it. first time i did #WillSmith i think. #GeminiMan
the first concept i did for "chew-u" was based on one of the fake brands a co-worker did for the vending machines (all mascots are based on these btw). "chew-u" was a bit too close to that wookiee you might know, especially combined with that name. thats why he became a donut. 😉
today i want to provide a small showcase for one of my favorite characters i did for the @TheSurgeGame dlc "a walk in the park". @pig_plastique , 3d artist at @Deck13_de gave me this heart warming printed version of "chew-u" back then. still love this guy so much. 🍩🥰
thats the first painting i did in brushes back then and my two cats from 2009. hope you enjoyed that little @brushesapp thread. the app seems to be dead, but there's still a lot to see here i think. the group we used to post in: https://t.co/aX53XOnqyy
some more... as i did the third one in this gallery, called "witch" (big face), i heard that micheal jackson died. that touched me deeply, i love his music. the last one is a fan-art piece for the amazing #thepath by https://t.co/6fndVi7Cyj @taleoftales which came out in 2009.
for this i used a painting i had on my old harddrive as a reference. sadly i don't know the artist. "recall"
i still really love this one. it is called "present from earth". you had the option to save the finished brushes-works in the original size or up to 6x zoom (still sharp, guess because of the resolution the ipod touch itself used).
it was so relieving to not have the option to create layer after layer. a weird analog-digital-hybrid-thingy. really addicting back then and i got really used to it. i liked it more then using my wacom back in the time.
i really loved the diversion compared to photoshop and what i was used to do day-to-day. that small screen in your hands, getting really warm after a while and your fingertip doing all the work, instead of a pen. this one is called "niko".
