Did you know that peacocks make a sound like a human woman shouting for help? (Often outside my window at 5am just to say hi growing up.)
Did you know that cougars, not being "big cats," also let out a sound like someone being murdered?
Unrelated: peacock-cougar gryphons.
@arvalis If I were smarter about these, I'd catalogue all of the gryphon art people tag me in or mention in fan mail. Let me see if I can find it... I think it's been mostly talk last year, then one or two pieces.
Here's @/Smatterbrain's smilodon+terror bird to distract you while I look.
@Kay_Shep_87 @story_trail Aw =] These are the ones I'm partial to, personally.
@TheAaronMcNatt @YoteNotes Hey, eating pumpkins is better than the alternative!
Now where did I put my spare pumpkins... wait, Younce, no!
@Ryffnah The snowy gryphon on Shannon McGee's Of Gryphons & Other Monsters was also why I picked it up to read as one of my first 100 Gryphon Book Reading Challenge novels.
@DevinWyldeheart Yay, I'm glad you're enjoying it =] I hope you love the rest of the series just as much.
@erikafrose Oh no. I feel like if it was *just* Younce or *just* Zeph, you'd be all set. Each is very capable of saving someone from an apocalypse.
But when you put both of them together, they mostly bicker and tease each other.
@jaelyn_gryphon I'd also love to see a prehistoric version, too! When we were looking at possible Hatzel designs, @Smatterbrain did a smilodon + terrortooth drawing that has really stuck with me as a sort of... prehistoric North American gryphon. We nicknamed her Terrortooth.
