Now the first idol is Hijikata Toshizo. Commander of the Shinsengumi (新選組) special Bakufu police force from 1868–1869. He also attacked & occupied Goryokaku fort, & became Deputy Defence Minister of the shortlived Ezo Republic. He was killed in the Battle of Hakodate.

So the whole idea is that each member is a historical figure connected to Hakodate, with the "plot" behind them being that Hokkaido's Hollow Dogu (pictured with them) came to life with a strange power and brought the idols to the present day where they promote tourism to the city

@blackedflash There's a lot of different types... I don't know that much about them as I know more about Ainu fox stories.

Watching 'Alice in Borderland' on Netflix when I noticed that one of the game screens used a vector that I recognised... The red circle is a from a Chinese calligraphy vector pack (which I happen to have for use in a future video)
