At the world’s birth hazels grew which held all the knowledge of the universe. They grew around the Well of Wisdom (Tobar Segais) in which lived a salmon, which ate up the hazelnuts which fell into its waters, and became the famed Salmon of Knowledge

Being ‘Fairy led’ was not always pleasant, it could mean a fugue state where people would sometimes pine away to nothing...

My mother often described me as being ‘away with the fairies’ and meant a more benign state of dreaming though.
