I listened to the BotW soundtrack during work and was suddenly reminded how much I feel for this iteration of Zelda
Most of my art the last week has been sketchy looking exploratory stuff for Ava & Beatrice instead of anything polished or with a set use. If that's your jam, tho, I got all of that up for Patrons this week https://t.co/2yKtlQ6hD6
Teepublic doesn't have -exactly- the same colors as the Yetee, as you can probably tell with the Marina shirt, but I think the basic outfit compositions I drew to promote the shirt sales are still applicable! You just gotta keep color theory in mind!
I listened to a podcast about the Beetlejuice musical & drew the characters from memory
A big part of Bea's story is that she wants to find Ava before she makes her way home. She encounters all kinds of girls who look like some variation of Ava, but Bea insists that none of them are the real Ava. My favorite Fake!Ava is 'WannaBe', a Ava who wants to be just like Bea
Bea in Ava's head is loathed & hated by the NPCs, and they will attack and chase her. She can fight them off, but if she disguises herself with a full body costume they will leave her alone & can even be interacted with.
For a period of time I was using this idea as a way to build up a concept portfolio, but then I ended up getting my current job and it fell to the wayside. I'm still very fond of the idea, tho, and maybe I'll do a game jam dedicated to figuring out this game
Today's original story idea of the day that I wanna share is a horror game idea I have called Ava & Bea! I know ideas for a video game are a dime a dozen, so I was always reluctant to talk about this idea w/o having anything like a game demo, or a ton of concept art
