The idea behind my interpretation is that Dr. Roth had to somehow override the size limitations that ants experience due to their extremely simple respiratory systems. To do so, he added some dinosaur DNA, allowing for more efficient oxygen intake to power an even larger body.
The color scheme remains largely the same, but the rest of Dimetrosaur's design has been altered entirely. The anatomy is a mix of synapsid and theropod, with fanged teeth, half-sprawled hind limbs, and integument that is a mess of scales, bare skin, hair, and primitive feathers.
For context, the model's design is meant to be a singular tourmaline, hence the single pair of arms and the smaller torso. Watermelon Tourmaline (the character shown in the series) is a tourmaline fusion.
