@wrduckdog @sleepyhenry Was this what happened in the RWS story “Dirty Water”?
@KumataJDG For me, I’ve always been partial to the Mid Sodor Sheds…while some minor creative liberties were obviously taken, I always appreciated how isolated this place felt nestled deep in the mountains and crevices
So these various illustrations I’ve been seeing are convincing me more and more that Hatt has a GWR 94xx knocking about on the NWR and I absolutely love the idea (helped by the fact that I can find this loco pretty easily in N!)
Though this never came to pass, when Hatt was reopening the Arlesburgh Line, one of his contingency plans, had BR tightened the yoke on Sodor and forced dieselization was to run it as a heritage line and attempt to save as many of his steam engines as he could.
Recently ordered a face commission from @razberry42 to make some faces for Yeovil. I gave him my initial sketches and references and to say he outdid himself would be an understatement. I would highly recommend you guys check out his work/commission him!
One of Oliver’s other forms of hiding in plain sight while on the run involved forged transfer sheets and pretending to be sent to fill a gap during loco shortages, but never staying long enough to be caught out by BR
