On July 12th, The Lord Lyon attended the Triennial Meeting of the Clan Cunningham at Carrington Castle. Sir John Cunninghame of Corsehill, Chief of the Name and Arms and 12th Baronet received a sword from the Clan members to mark his Chiefship.

@heraldic_artist Yes, indeed. My theory is that Earl Haig's crest was repainted for Lord Stair in the next generation of KTs. Here is a better picture of Lord Stair's arms, the painting dating from 1895.

Today's crest belongs to either Earl Haig of Bemersyde (1861-1928) or possibly 12th Earl of Stair (1879-1961) as they both used "a rock Proper".
