On July 12th, The Lord Lyon attended the Triennial Meeting of the Clan Cunningham at Carrington Castle. Sir John Cunninghame of Corsehill, Chief of the Name and Arms and 12th Baronet received a sword from the Clan members to mark his Chiefship.

Yes, indeed. My theory is that Earl Haig's crest was repainted for Lord Stair in the next generation of KTs. Here is a better picture of Lord Stair's arms, the painting dating from 1895.
