The Scottish Samurai Awards which promote Japanese Scottish relations took place in Broomhall, home of the Bruce Family. The Lord Lyon presented an award to the former Chief Herald of Canada, Mr Robert Watt LVO.
The Lord Lyon delivered a lecture on the 7th May in the City Chambers Dundee on “The Heraldic Papers of Dennis Collins WS”, a local solicitor with a lifelong interest in heraldry whose collection of papers spans 60 years.

The Lord Lyon visited Alisoun Grant, a former "Herald Painter Extraordinary" in her home near Kirriemuir. She worked in the Office during the time of Sir Thomas Innes of Learney and her memories of the Office were fascinating.
