Style 9 - Paper Mario - This series has a simple enough aesthetic to draw and color, but the shading is unusual. It involves drawing shapes with gradients that don't fully touch the outlines, creating an effect like rim lighting. #artwork #originalcharacter
I wanted to practice my posing and anatomy by drawing @rariatoo's Carmilla OCs in my lineless style. Somehow that turned into this.
Style 8 - Steven Universe - This is the kind of show where they really exaggerate the head shape of their characters to help define personality. Lends itself well to clearly readable expressions since the head has most of the detail. #StevenUniverse #art
Style 5 - Puella Magi - I'd never seen this show before doing this challenge, so I marathoned it to get some references. Did not expect to find boy in hospital and murderous glutton girl who threatens to kill him. Show was great btw. #MadokaMagica #originalcharacter
Style 4- Adventure Time - This art style is meant to evoke simplistic drawings a child would make, with the dot eyes and noodle arms. However, it's pretty good about applying those fundamentals, especially with the coloring. #AdventureTime #originalcharacters
Style 3- Studio Ghibli - This one was tough to pin down, as these movies don't all share one style. I tried to capture the general feel, with the strong emphasis on facial expressions. Luckily this challenge didn't involve background art. #originalcharacters #StudioGhibli
Style 2 - Naruto - Naruto's art style is a lot pointier than I was expecting. It's much more grounded and anatomical than the Pokemon style, while still making use of those giant expressive eyes. A little more shading, but less than I expected. #NARUTO #originalcharacter
Style 1 - Pokemon - The Pokemon art style has evolved tremendously over the years, to the point where there are about as many different ways to draw a Pikachu as there are Pokemon. Usually gets across through expressive eyes and a little shading. #Pokemon #originalcharacter
F.U.N. is the only episode where Squidward actually cares about Plankton stealing the formula. In later episodes, Squidward isn't bothered unless the schemes directly affect him. Even in the alternate universe, Squidward doesn't care about the evil Krabs either.
