Recent #FFXIV portrait commissions of some FC mates!
#FFXIVSelfie #FFXIVart
Sketch of my Commander Shepard that turned out better than I'd expected. I'm more attached to him than any other RPG character I've made, haha, I even could draw him from memory.
Painting practice with one of the best boys! #BNHA #Kirishima #KirishimaEijirou #RedRiot
Forgot to upload this #DungeonsandDragons commission here! This is Saerin Augustae, a rogue from Waterdeep City! I feel like I learned a lot from this one. #DnD #DnD5e #5e #Rogue
10a: Go back to my Mid layer and use Ctrl+U to change hue/saturation. Click colorize and use sliders to find a tone you like. Do the same for Black and White layers. Made a new layer on top set to overlay with low opacity, using a soft brush with black and white to enhance form.
9: This is what we get with all our layers turned on!! The product of all our hard work and attention to detail!! ;v; It looks nice, but it's not finished yet.
8a: I do this step after all the shading so that the hue variations and textures do not affect my perception of the shading. At this point, I've put all the color layers in a masked folder under the shading layers so I can create clipping masks to each individual color.
7: Flat colors. I actually do during steps 4 and 5, though I don't work with them on. All color layers go above the base and under the shading. Each color has its own layer and is labeled. LOCK ALL YOUR LAYERS YOU'RE NOT WORKING ON SO YOU DON'T INFURIATE YOURSELF!
