Bruce Banner is writing in his diary about how conflicted he is over Betty Ross and her involvement on the Hulkbuster team: He doesn’t want her to risk her life fighting the Hulk, and yet he can’t live without her. “There is only one answer, of course.”

“And as for me…I am Bruce Banner, the head of the new Project Hulkbuster.” Okay I’m excited to see this! …Although if this project doesn’t develop a giant robotic suit of armor, I’m going to be a little disappointed.

Back in the hospital, the doctor uses an experimental hallucinogenic drug to attempt to bring Bruce Banner out of his coma…and it works! He’s awake at the very least, but I guess we’ll discover the long-term effects in future issues!

The Beyonder continues his conversation with Puma and Peter Parker from last issue: He points out that Peter has a clear sense of purpose and knows his role in the world, while Puma is conflicted and full of self-doubt. The Beyonder wants to help fix that.
