No aurora for Albany and much of the Northeast tonight....if it happens. Rain and clouds a plenty.

YES! NICE.....someone on the sidelines must have found the proper Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for these guys. That's the energy I like to see. :D

140 MPH......140!!!

is beastmoding still on her explosive intensification. Other than the wonky eye at times.....this structure is damn near perfect.

presentation is just remarkable. Granted stuff like Irma, Dorian, etc you see the classic donut shape when get cat 4+ hurica es but is always amazing when it appears. Again meteorologically speaking this storm is just wild.

Every hurricane is different and unique.

Welp....there we go. It is official.

Hurricane is now Cat 4. 130mph.....STILL explosively intensfying. Damn.

Look at the eye clearing too. Meteorologically speaking this storm is absolutely incredible and fascinating....but not good for Louisiana.

Incredible intensification going on with Hurricane Pressures are rapidly falling and now....well....

This is likely cat 3 and gonna keep ramping up through landfall. This is insane what Ida is doing.

Pinhole eye storms usually ramp up so fast...and this is doing that.

Hurricane has begun her rapid intensification phase. It's all downhill from here.

Look at the amazing banding features taking place around the eye and how that core completely wrapped up. Not be surprised if this is well into Cat 2 range by 11am and near Cat 4 by tonight.

Ok...this is gonna be very bad for Long Island. This storm is trending to head right for Long Island and NYC now.

This is like Sandy but a more compact storm. I am working but no way I'd chase this hurricane.

Hurricanes are far more dangerous to me than tornadoes/storms.

Been watching this Steelers/Cowboys preseason game while at work and now at home....it's terrible how bad it had been. :| I mean....at least it's football finally.

Can we please get my Buffalo Bills on TV....we'd have a much better preseason game. :D
