What a lame ending to such an already dragged out arc
It built up to numerous Super forms being used and this big final battle with Bowser 2, and the entire fight lasts less than a page
And no, self-awareness doesn't help it here, this is just lazy writing
@CrafterArmys Debatable. Yuji Uekawa's design got really expressive, and that's on top of having more shading and just more detail and stylization in general. Agree to disagree I guess
People have told me Hesse Sonic's design is more simple because it's designed to be more expressive than detailed, but uh...
Yuji Uekawa design is both more expressive AND more detailed, so Hesse Sonic's overly flat coloration just makes it lesser to me
Devil Doom is a more interesting final boss than either of the Adventure final bosses imo, not only in part due to his history with Shadow, but because he has a personality
Prob is is that the boss is easy af and the second phase is really anticlimactic
Now, for a superior final boss? Here's one https://t.co/QejwVxRhTy
Finally beat Shadow '05 fully today, and got to say, it's easily my favorite fully 3D Sonic game behind Black Knight.
On the whole, while some levels can be tedious, everything else about it I love. Soundtrack, what it managed to salvage of Shadow's story from Heroes, all of it.
