I'm not that good when it comes to patterns, but I think I just made one of my greatest patterns. RAT! here come the rats. I'll use this in the Rat catcher design
little update, it's close to done. I removed one of the armor plated to make shouldering the rifle easier like @ilporter suggested. There is still some atmospheric layers ill add to try and make him fit into the scene better.
Update on how the ironed out the design is going. I think its turning out quite well.
Verus soldiers having as much of a rest as they can. Behind them are red roots that are used to fortify trenches. Over time these roots grew out of control and started taking over large sections of trenches.
I think I need to push the astatic of the red roots further but it's a good first try. The idea is soldiers use rooting spells to reinforce dirt and over time it took on a life of its own taking in mana from the air and gradually taking over trenches.
Also, while I'm sketching in my book I don't really worry about proportions and just haphazardly scribble most of the time. Thats why you might notice some sketches are shaped like gremlins.
working on the look of the bunker cities more and also some simple canons.
I did a few more takes on what over healing might look like. magical healing should be done slowly as to not cause "strange" effects, though in situations where the healer has to defend themself it does come in handy.
