@TomKilianArt That was a fun one! I'd been taking a break from Magic art by that time and doing kids' books instead, but they lured me back with a set that felt more like my aesthetic. More than this painting, for example.
The drawing on this dragon head is terrible, but I do still like the color and rendering here.
I'm especially looking at that fourth image, and thinking about people like Harry Beckhoff. Or Al Parker. Or Joe De Mers. Or Coby Whitmore. Flat color and garish but somehow pleasing palettes and complex compositions.
