Around here we love A FAMILY IS A FAMILY IS A FAMILY by Sara O'Leary and Qin Leng. All kinds of family arrangements, treated beautifully and matter-of-factly.

Mad at Mommy and The Fox Wish, both illustrated by Komako Sakai and the latter written by Kimiko Aman, are pretty much perfect books.
