A criminally overlooked surrealist. The Italian Stanislao Lepri (1905-1980). He was was the Italian consul for the Principality of Monaco but abandoned his career to become a painter. He was the lover of the artist Leonor Fini & lived with her & her other lover for 30 years.

Between 1962 - 2009, the British Government’s Ministry of Defence (MoD) had a UFO desk & hotline that collected 11,000 cryptic sightings from across the UK. Among the reports on flying saucers & inexplicable lights in the night sky are drawings that attempt to describe the UFOs.
The Moon Worshipper. Remedios Varo (1908 –1963) was a surrealist who was a devotee of Gurdjieff & was fascinated with Mme Blavatsky, Meister Eckhart, "the Holy Grail, sacred geometry, witchcraft, alchemy & the I Ching." In her lifetime her work was little known outside Mexico.
The origins of "The Scream". Over his life Edvard Munch (1863-1944) filled 180 sketchbooks. The Scream (1893), began life as simple observational sketches of people on a bridge. The sketches led to 3 paintings - Despair, Anxiety and The Scream.
