Sketchy. The preparatory sketches of Pre Raphaelite Edward Burne-Jones(1833-1898) are impressive artworks in themselves. Jones did many sketches & feared finishing artworks. He was "a highly strung nervous man who, upon completion of a major work, would suffer a nervous collapse"

RED. pt.4. Redheads feel pain acutely & are more sensitive & emotional - Myth or Fact? The Uni of Louisville discovered that redheads require 20% more anesthesia to be sedated & are more resistant to painkillers. They produce more pheomelanin which heightens sensitivity to pain.

Pt.2. The most evil book in History. The "Malleus Maleficarum". Without the invention of the Printing Press this despised book (that explained how to hunt, interrogate & kill witches) would never have spread through Christendom. From 1574 and 1669 it ran to 16 editions.

Lucifer is a Planet. Before Christians turned Lucifer into "The Devil", Lucifer was the Greek god Phosphorus who was 'The Light Bringer" otherwise known as The Morning Star, aka The Planet Venus. The latin translation of Phosphorus is Lucifer.

Witch Hunt Manual. The Malleus Maleficarum (14870 or "Hammer of Witches" was a guidebook used to detect witches & heretics, extract confessions & exterminate. It was a bestseller - 2nd only to the Bible from 1486-1600. Scholars estimate witchcraft related deaths at 40,000–50,000.

The Green Fairy. The artists drink of choice, Absinthe was banned in USA & France. "Absinthe makes you crazy & criminal, provokes epilepsy & tuberculosis, & has killed thousands of French people. It makes a ferocious beast of man, a martyr of woman & a degenerate of the infant"

The Veil of Veronica is a Christian relic. A cloth-piece which, according to tradition, bears the likeness of Jesus (imprinted by blood and sweat). Various existing images have been claimed to be the "original" relic. It has also been the subject of an entire artistic tradition.

Post-Technology Future. The art of Simon Stålenhag depicts a parallel universe in which Hi-Tech, Robotics & VR reached amazing heights then suddenly collapsed. An alternative world in which we've regressed to the 1980s, and are surrounded by dead Super-technology. Amazing.

Ass & Angel. In 1861 Gustave Dore's publisher didn't want to take a risk on Dore's collection of 135 illustrations for Dante's Divine Comedy. So Dore self-published the book. It sold out in 2 weeks. His publisher sent Doré the famous telegram “Success! Come quickly! I am an ass!”
