By issue 2, the team is formed, and moving more as a unit. Also, first appearance of Deathstroke. They bust up some thieves, and I like how strong Donna is, and the first showing of the conflict between Kory's aggression and Dick's measured approach.

I like that in their first battle, Dick manages to get a Gordanian staff and take down three of them. Also find it hilarious that Grant Wilson had the bad luck to bring a wounded Starfire back to his apartment, drawing both the Gordanians and Titans there.

His decision to drop out created tension between him and Batman, partially because he was studying business to one day take over Wayne Enterprises, as Bruce's sole heir. Dick sees the potential in a new Titans to prove himself (something he grappled with in the 70s).

Even in series' that I overall didn't enjoy, I can usually find stuff I like. Grayson Annual #3 for example, had a really fun team-up between Dick and Green Lantern/Simon Baz, where Dick beat one of the Furies from Apokolips.
