According to Nightwing #77, Dick was only "Ric" for a few months. The Ric story lasted two years in real time. It was preceded by two years of Dick in Blüdhaven (he moved there in late 2016). So we can fudge it and say he lived in Bludhaven for a year before being shot by KGBeast
Even in the dark times of Red Nightwing, @KyleDHiggins was able to bring back the arm/finger stripes with Eddie Barrows and Brett Booth. My great hope is that one day @TomTaylorMade and @Bruno_Redondo_F can do the same.
On a YouTube show called Comics Files (https://t.co/m3bMyokXA1) @Bruno_Redondo_F shared some concept art of Nightwing, which includes a version with finger/arm stripes. I'm no artist, but I went in and added some blue to show how it might look.
For those wondering what issue this reminded me of, it's Nightwing vol. 2 #6 by Dixon and McDaniel (@HotDogsAreLegit asked) https://t.co/guWXVRJBij
Nightwing #78 preview:
I'm not a fan of this. Babs getting past Dick's security is fine, he's done it to the Clocktower. But I don't see the point in her still managing to get the drop on him and throwing him across the room. He knows someone's in there, she knows it's his place
Before Zucco and his accomplice can kill Robin, Batman arrives and knocks Zucco down, before extracting a confession from Zucco's goon. Batman & Robin were a bit rougher in the 40s.
Then we get a training montage, once again similar to Bruce's in Tec 33. In later issues we'll see Bruce train Dick in forensic science, but here they focus on combat. Bruce even remarks that Dick is more skilled at acrobatics than him already.
After this, we get the famous candle-light oath to fight against crime and corruption, and never swerve from the path of righteousness. This mirrors Bruce's own oath that we were shown in Detective Comics #33
