@DathTheGreat @JoshuaMHenry MG1's DOS port (left) was built from the NES version, which was essentially a completely different game. The new release was built from the updated MSX version (right) that was released on mobile phones and in Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence.

@TheSphereHunter Yeah, classic Resident Evil games are very deliberate with what they show the player.
Metal Gear Solid plays with this same idea in some cool ways. Even though the camera moves with the player, when leaning against various walls, the camera will shift into more cinematic views.
