Hey its #PortfolioDay again!
Im Milton and I do the pixel environments
@GarthMarenghia For this tree I started with breaking it down to simple shapes, with the cylinder trunk and the leaves as an oblong sphere, and deciding the shadows accordingly. Then once I know where my big shadows are, I can start treating the leaves as a bunch of smaller clumps
every week a landscaper has to take a boat to the middle of the purple lake to maintain this trees perfect oblong shape
I also recorded my whole process of doing this I will be dipping my toes into a beginners #pixelart tutorial that will hopefully shed some light on the process
@Namatnieks thanks! I didn't use any 3d models, but while ago I did some experimenting with weird isometric perspectives, and I got this look that's almost top down, but has a slight 3D looking tilt! But now I just copy the cubes around for the layout and paint over them
you know how we have cottage cheese? what if we had cottage homes
#pixelart
@iltailtailta thank you! I spent a lot of time last year experimenting with illegal angles, and this one that was almost top down with a slight twist was my favorite
