an old piece I did in 2019 for one of the /r/pixelart contests, even though its pretty simple overall I remember spending hours obessesing over the details! I do still like the composition and storytelling a lot though, I want to focus more on that going forward

Started playing some Earthbound and it got me thinking about what it would look like if they kept the camera perspective but went for a more realistic style, but now I just wanna make a game that looks like this

@ArtemisOzimmer thats pretty cool! in that case here are some of the different weird perspective tests in case you might be interested seeing the wip of how I got here
@TofuPixel Left is was made ~2018 with the right being my current wip, in between I realized for most of my life I just coasted on my art "talent" and that I wasnt as good as I thought I was. So I decided to take art seriously and go back to the basics and Ive been studying every day since!
haunting on the horizon
meant to finish this for halloween, but its still pretty applicable for the whole season. I saw a church like this while getting groceries and it looked like a good fit for an ominous scene

Today I learned there was a #pixelartday ! Which while I couldn't find any info on google about the origin or anything else outside of twitter, I will be pushing for it to become a national holiday nonetheless
Watched the series Dances Moving a few days ago, and it's been stuck in my mind ever since, so I thought I would illustrate a shot from that last scene!

the early process steps if you wanna see how I got to this idea, after step 4 it was pretty much just refining the clusters, pro tip too, when you got a good color rough, shrink the canvas like 15% and you gotta pixel way less pixels
