Ok…. thennnnnn in IDW why does he wanna punish Eggman over the war he started back in Sonic Forces, regardless of Eggman’s amnesia?

@Zhane_Star @Amyrosesimp1 also he hasn’t moved away from maria’s promise bc if he did then he wouldn’t give a shit about eggman trying to take over the world and just leave him to it

@DTBROS_YT @AguacateGato @SiramayN @ThiniffYt but the promise was to protect humanity and thats exactly what GUN wants to do as well, hence why shadow works with them sometimes. if shadow didn’t care about the world after the black arms incident then he would’ve let eggman destroy everything like it wasn’t his problem.

@Zhane_Star also with the battle for angel island arc he literally had his own reasons for joining the resistance which was to beat neo metal and was determined to take on any challenge. he had no intention of working with any of them so long as he got the job done and the world was saved.

@Zhane_Star to him, eggman losing his memories and becoming mr tinker doesn’t make him redeemable for being a terrorist. and sonic had to get through to shadow to argue that he’s basically in the same boat bc of him being eggman’s accomplice during SA2.

@Zhane_Star the thing with mr tinker is its interesting bc mr tinker is basically eggman with amnesia but he becomes a nice person. shadow doesn’t want to believe that bc of what eggman did in forces by conquering 99.9% of the world and can’t simply shrug off all that devastation.
