Jorge Jimenez. That's another crisp guy. We happen to use the same tools but there's an obvious disconnect on my end. I'm studying the lad to untangle the wires.

@JeanGen09181213 I'd love to see a season 2, but completely overhauled. New actress, new show runner, new writers, and so on. They could even break the 4th wall and mention the change in management. Skaar's still around but he'd look more like the comics. John Byrne cameo. No one would complain.

@ComicsandCleave I used to watch Nei Ruffino on Livestream, years ago (back when you had to go on a thing called "Livestream" to stream live---I'm old). She's great at making things pop. Stellar lighting. She can make anything look dreamy. I believe she's drawing her own material these days.

@__RiseAgain__ Maybe they can fix her. Maybe she'll have legitimate motivation as a hero. In the comics, she lost her biological daddy from a robbery at a gas station. Her best friend and stepdad died via drive-by shooting. You'd assume she steals Stark tech to take on inner city crime.

Wrong.

@ComicsandCleave Hellboy. The whole sha-bang with the B.P.R.D., too. I was all in. Heck, it was such a good design, they didn't even change it for the films. Hard to explain... It just feels so Mignola.

Then there's a litany of Top Cow comics that had bangers for logos (Magdalena being my fave).

@PipersAdventure I think the mainstream, big dawg publishers are complacent when they can just whip out Oliver Coipel or Eddie Barrows caliber whenever they want. The rest of the books end up looking like art you'd see in a coloring book... or worse.

Y'know, @DCComics doesn't need a reboot, they just need to put the car in reverse. Restore the continuity that was around before the New 52. That was a rich era that delivered bangers.

If Jen Walters was a bit more on the conservative slant, I can see it being a big deal. Not to say she wants her business out there like that... The media celebrates a woman's body count as empowerment.

@ComicsandCleave Jenny Sparks. I like the whole "Century Baby" concept @warrenellis cooked up, having the planet imbue power to certain people as a defense mechanism. "Glorious purpose" fulfilled by electroshocking Earth's original landlord to ensure the planet made it to the 21st century. 👍

@ComicsandCleave @JayFKocher To piggyback on that note, Marvel made X-Men just as ego-stroking and pointless as celebrities IRL with their Gala. It's hero/villain synthesis, where you can't even tell the difference. The overarching story, striving for coexistence is over. The rest is just postmortem spasms.
