Marvel should put new characters through the grinder---let the readership decide if they're a hit or not. They're not gonna make it through unless they have the chops. To me, race swapping says x-race can't handle the grind.

@ComicsandCleave Rockin' Jelly Bean (@RockinJello). He's the ultimate combo of quality work and persona. He's an entire mood, complete with an entourage of babes, and that luchador mask gives him the mystique of an international man of mystery.

He would be too powerful making comic books.

@Swashbucklist @ComicsandCleave I recently resumed collecting #Invincible by @RobertKirkman and @RyanOttley. I love the consistency. You never know if a character from volume 1 is going to show up in volume 16... Nothing is wasted.

Consistent art, too. It's good to know what you're getting into it. Quality.

@roxystriar The Demon/Etrigan, could do solid as a Dark Fantasy. Again, nix the cookie-cutter aspect of cape flicks with this one. Arthurian flashbacks to present day? Hell, I can already picture the trailer. No one should know what it is until they hear, "Gone, gone the form of man..."

@BPomphrey @ComicsandCleave Can't sleep on Bruce Timm. The man knows how to capture the essence of things with sweet simplicity. At the end of the day, it's all shapes but he knows how to arrange them like a conductor. He can even render with the best of 'em. 👍

Gun to my head, I'd have to go with Adam Hughes. Even his female sketches are dreamy. He can draw ideal female musculature to slim-for-the-kill. He can also do everything in between (see Gen-13). I wish he'd do more sequential art. That man is a monster.
