Alright, so... If David Zaslav held a gun to my head and told me to reboot #Superman for #WarnerBrosDiscovery, the first thing I would say is, "Please don't shoot." I'd also tell him to approach @BradBirdA113 as a director. Bird can bring it home. I believe he's the chosen one...
@Tri_State26 @ComicsandCleave My favorites (in no particular order):
Ryoichi Ikegami - Realistic. You can spot his work a mile away.
Hiroaki Samura - Gritty and brutal, yet there's a beauty to it. Great action, especially in Blade of the Immortal.
Katsuhiro Otomo - Crisp. Love the details.
#Manga #Mangaka
@ComicsandCleave @ThePencilPimp As much as I would love to see the X-Men in the MCU, I don't know which version they'll give us. I would be surprised if they don't usher in the segregationist, uncharacteristically pompous, booty-chatter of Krakoa.
We want Claremont/90's, but that would make too much sense. lol
@ComicsandCleave Robin III, written by @Dixonverse. Not only did it restore the mantle of Robin, but it laid out a solid blueprint for all sidekicks. Tim Drake's goal was to add value to Batman while not becoming a burden.
Nowadays? Oh, don't even get me started.
Hahaha... (sigh)
RIP Tim Lyle.
@LogicJester @SierraWhiskey9 I'd settle for someone to just talk some sense into her. Only bad guys seem to mention the risk... or care.
This chick thought she could take on Thanos. lol
Every woman in Marvel seems to be instant buddies yet none of them bothered with an intervention for Jessica Drew.
@SierraWhiskey9 It's always a stupid idea having a pregnant woman fighting crime, leading a charge in cosmic war, and other fool-ass adventures. It's stupid and it's a thick layer of plot armor. Criminals automatically sympathetic. She might as well be in God mode. Did I mention it's stupid?
@CriticalBlast @scogemcdoge @H3oSo @R3Dx2712 @TheXManStan @NerdIsAHeather Lets say I get to write Dragon Ball and I make Vegeta declare that Yamcha is the true "Prince of all Saiyans." Would it be canon? Sure. Would it be bad writing. Definitely.
That's mainstream comics. Too many chefs in the kitchen and continuity is more of a guideline than a rule.
@DynamoSuperX I'm worried. Considering I had to suffer through Drake & Josh Disney channel hogwash for two films in order to finally get some semblance of Spider-Man in the MCU... I hope to God Fantastic Four won't take as long to make me give a crap.
Do not stray from this:
@EthanVanSciver I suppose we all can look forward to more masterpieces like this:
