I did watch Kogawa's GREED. However COOL COOL BYE is definitely more accessible. I did enjoy the aesthetics of GREED as I did with COOL COOL BYE.
I must caution that no one really go into these OVAs for the story though.
Mostly recommended for Kogawa fans.
As @PrimusVsUnicron has pointed out already Amasa Pora looks like "Char dressed up as Solid Snake."
This is a super coincidence considering Metal Gear would only release one year after Pora's ZZ episode. It's also crazy because Big Boss and Liquid Snake are compared to Char.
Amasa Pora according to Endo was a Zeon Remnant like Rommel and was not from space like the other Neo Zeon soldiers. Seems like Endo and Tomino took a liking to her but in the end had to kill her off.
Wish I knew what direction Kitazume got?

@mecha_tho @zeonicscans Yeah!
Also Pola kinda looks like a battle hardened Kate Hathaway from Vifam.
@RENATOLOGY @MatteoWatz I think I know Keiko's Pokemon stuffs. What a coincidence!
Hmm. So yeah I presume you mean the way the Gunbuster launches in episode 4. Technically speaking yes the Queen Mansa and Gunbuster launch by an elevator at the top of their ships respectively. But I have some feeling that maybe a well known Giant Robot show/manga did it before. https://t.co/dWoNAbve5w
Ayumi Hattori seems to have made a guest DAICON III/IV illustration for the GAINAX homepage back in June of 2010.
[Well I hope it's the same Hattori I have been reading up on. Name spelt the same. Resembles her other (scarcer) digital drawings.]
