Zorua and Zoroark as a whole were the only Pokemon to be event exclusive that are not Mythical Pokemon or be in a unique form. It lost this status in Pokemon Black 2 and White 2.

Sylveon is the only cross-generational evolution to debut in Generation 6, and was first revealed to hint at the new Fairy-type. It was designed by Atsuko Nishida according to a Nintendo Magazine interview with Ken Sugimori.

In generation 4, it is stated that the Poketch only comes in two models, a blue for boys and a pink for girls. However, Barry uses an orange Poketch.
This is explained in Pokemon Adventures, where an orange one was produced to avoid confusion between the three.
