For those interested, those games are 'Borderlands GOTY Enhanced', 'Cloudbuilt', 'Drunken Robot Pornography', and 'Sanctum 2'. So far, I'm liking 'Sanctum 2' the most.

I'm more for encouraging developers to create new IPs rather than hash out remakes. That being said, if there's one game I wish would receive the 'Final Fantasy VII Remake' treatment except for the ending, it'd be 'Skies of Arcadia'.

@aurahack Perhaps I simply haven't taken in enough media with audience surrogates. I can name two audience surrogates that I actually like: one is Gou Matsuoka from 'Free!' and the other's Shinichi Sakurai from 'Uzaki-chan wants to hang out!'

I could've sworn I had much better points in my head. Better written, too. Ah well. In any event, I love these games specifically and I wish more people knew of them.

I feel like I should've liked 'MO: Astray' a lot more than I actually do. It's brilliantly designed with some spectacular boss fights but its fondness for instant death obstacles and slightly unfitting control scheme wear away at my patience.
