I've noticed a lot of folks consider Roger Stern's 80's Avengers run to be a favorite.
It's interesting that Stern returned to the group (along with familiar teammates Monica & Eros) in this 4-issue miniseries, which is also a sorta spinoff from Avengers Forever.
A nice homage cover by the Darwyn Cooke, a guy who loved and knew his comics history.
Phil Gosier had a brief stay in comics. He had a nice big, rounded style that really looked great on Steel. Just like a lot of artists from that time, he found work in animation somewhere.
The weird story of Scarab. Meant to be a revamped Dr. Fate ongoing turned into a shortened Vertigo miniseries. He then makes a few appearances in JSA. The end.
The WildCats/X-Men crossover was a 4-Chapter story, and will probably never be printed again thanks to the DC/Marvel cold war.
I'm surprised how inexpensive these still are -- especially the Silver Age -- Jim Lee's final published X-Men work.
@larrykingundead The High from Warren Ellis' StormWatch run really brings to mind the image of Miracleman from Moore's final issue.

We've hit the peak for the early millennium 80s nostalgia wave.
